2.5 maf on 1.8 causing idle problems?

ok guys i have a 1.8l in my 93 mx3 bu tthe maf say kl-02 on the mas airflow meter could this be my headache causing idle problem out the wazoo?
heres my car check it out and tell me what u think.

yeah, mine ran ugly when I tried that combo.

MX-3 w/ curved neck millenia klde, boosted @ 5 psi. /bov and wastegate are good!/ nitto drag radial/ gutted interior/ millenia red top injectors, vortech fmu/aem wideband/ all bolts ons/ Car put together 100% by me. Mechanic? who needs a mechanic? ew.. real men work on their own cars!

More than likely that is the problem. Replacing back to the JE50 may not necessarily fix the problem since it appears that you were unaware that the wrong VAF was there to begin with. That being the case, I'd check to make sure you have the correct K8 ECU and the correct TB as well. All too often some over exuberant owners think they can cut corners and magically create more power by simply plunking on parts from larger/similar engines. It doesn't work that way but this continues to be the goal of those who decide they know more than factory engineers.
Once you replaced the correct VAF and confirmed the ECU and TB it may be best to confirm you have the correct IM also since there's a number of current members who believed they could slap that stuff on a K8 and expect positive results. Once all is said and done, you may have to a complete TPS adjust since the previous owner or yourself has more than likely fiddled with the idle air adjustment screw to fix those idle issues. Hope you don't run into more surprises along the way.

the only TB thatll screw up the idle is the kl-de TB just so u know.. but yea definitly get the JE fitty vaf back on and look at the ecu should say k8 somewhere on it

i got a new je50. fixed the idle problem and restored the lost power. lol. thanks for the advice guys
