Hey guys, I've really been looking into buying a mx-3 for a while now, and i've come across a few. Now I finally have the money for one of these sexy pieces of engineering and I have found myself with loads of questions.
-At the moment, I'm trying to figure out the lifespan of an engine, specifically the kl-de and the kl-ze. How long do these engines really last?

klde can last all the way over 200 thousand miles depending on driver. The ze.. i dunno.. mine barely has 40 thousand miles... the kfze i got has 30 thousand miles.. they are babies still.. compared to my other engies ive had. The k8 had 2000 miles and was running strong when I pulled it. It burned a small ammount of oil trough the valve seals.

My mx-3 has 238,000 miles on it and is running string not a thing wrong with it.

I've put almost 90'000kms on my ze, and it came with what was said no more than 70'000kms on it. I'm far from easy on her, but I dont torture her either (rev past 7000, burn outs, etc). She still runs pretty good.

My little 96 K8 just crossed over 250,000 km this week.

My 92 has over 280 000 km on it and still going strong, i've been wating for the engine to die so i could get a KL, but i honestly can't see it happening anytime soon.

i just hit 148,000 and i have nothing wrong with it.

my k8 has close to 300 000 and goin strong and my cousins k8 has well over 300 000 and goin strong

no kms haha canadian cars mines goin strong doesnt burn any oil yet doesnt smoke or anything and the same for my cousins

My KL8 has 405,000 and it's still running great.

Mines got well over 350 000 kms and just starting to burn a little bit of oil. Time for a ZE

248 888 and i'm burning some oil, gotta fix a facume leak, but it's totalled so i could care less.
