K8 or K8ZE - boost it

Post by OutlaW »

My fellow mxr's, here is a simple question because i dont find it easy to use SEARCH.

Can anyone or everyone show me a list of part's to get my Mx3 K8 or K8ZE boosted ?
I mean, something to unlock these doubts:

Which turbo to use ? Garrett T15, T25, T25BB, T28BB or other ?

Engine internal's, what is this ?

Millenia IM, is this a Intake Manifold from a Mazda model ?

I really what to crank my K8... i know that i will never get the KLZE power with the engine cost, but i am not ready to change my engine.

Helpi helpi ? five dola :) :D

You want to know about engine internals, yet you do not want to change your engine? It's a well known fact that you will never be able to get as much power out of the k8 as you can a 2.5 kl. If you are considering upgrading internals, why not swap to a 2.5? You are going to spend the same amount of money!

the reason to keep my K8 engine, is that it has only 71 000 kms
And here in Portugal, car sports are arranged on engine size.
And i cant get any luck with 1800cc, i imagine with 2500cc... lol
My competitors are BMW 325 i, and all the people with 2000cc engine's
( Subaru's, CTR , Leon Cupra R ... etc )

Go there and read alot on the forced induction section. Eveything I have on my K8 could be put on, (eventually will be) a 2.5L motor.
That K8 in the video I believe is no longer running. I think I read about that awhile back. Doesn't surprise me the way there driving it.

Someone already mad e a turbo kit for you but they are still working on the shipping situation. Look in the forced induction forums and search for it.

bleh dont go with the BB buy, its to pricey and takes FOREVER to get your parts. I mean its a good kit but if you are mechanicly enclined, Buy the 200 and so dollar turbo kit for a probe gt. Mod your cross member. Get your own turbo and set it up yourself. Thats faster than the bb buy. The bb buy is great buy if you dont mind waiting. Is it even open still?
