There a full tank of gas in this parts car that I have. I was wonder is there a way I can drain out the gas through a line in the engine bay? (EX through the fuel filter or something) Any information and pictures would be appreciated thanks everyone.

Yup the car starts up and runs fine. I already thought about draining it from the gas tank but it will be messy. So where would I be able to find this LINE your talking about. Is it under the hood?

the drain plug will be messy but alotttt quicker haha then trying it this way, well there are 2 lines an input from the tank to the engine and the output the left over gas that goes back to the tank. the input line is the one you want, look for the fuel filter and follow that line to the fuel rail, disconnect it so it never gets to the rail and put a 2 liter coke bottle or something and if you turn the key to on and it should try to prime the system. c if it comes out if not crank her over and see if that does it.

The last time i needed to drain a gas tank I hooked power stragiht to the fuel pump so it would run without having to have the car on. I also ran a hose from the pump to a gas can(or if you have enough length just to another cars gas tank) and let it run till it was empty.

yipee I did it

I've found the fuel line leading out of the fuel filter but the only way that fuel comes out is when you crank it. So I hook up my battery charger on boost mode then I cranked it till the battery was dying it drained out most of the tank. Now the low fuel warning light is on I say I drain out close to 30L or more. I am very happy now. Thanks for all the info

next time someone wants to do this, turn the key to ON and jump F/P and GND in the diagnostic box....instead of cranking it, or jimmy-rigging power to the fuel pump itself. Not necessary at all.

or if you have a factory gas tank, you can utilize the drain.

But I don't have a 40L tank that fits under a car on jackstands.
