Block Heater?

block heater or a bottom rad hose heater? which do any of you suggest?

Being from balmy :shock: Ottawa, Canada, I might be of assistance. I, myself, have always gotten away with a block heater on my MX-3 (along with synthetic oil). Car starts up and runs smooth 'from the get go' (provided yours truly remembers to plug it in). As for the bottom rad hose heater, if it circulates your coolent (I can't remember if they do or don't) it may be a good piece of gear. Personally, I'd say check the price of both and make an informed decision from there.

That being said, I have always been interested in those magnetic units that attach to the oil pan... Never used one, but thought that they would do the trick quite nicely.
