Im pretty sure it DOES matter because most 95's are odb 2 computers which ARE different compaired to the 94's. 93 and earlier run different maps allthough it may still work it may not run very well. But im no expert on computers here, but I also did just order a new computer off ebay for my 94 so I hope I have the right one also .

Incorrect. Only a handful of 95's were OBDII. Most were OBDI. 96+ are all OBDII. So as long as the car is a 94 or 95.. the 95 ECU should work just fine. 92's & 93's are different because the engine were different.. 92-93 had the SOHC B6ME engine as compared to the 94+ DOHC B6DE engines.

I can tell you that ODB 1 runs a 8 MHZ crystal and ODB 2 run's a 4 MHZ. Not sure what function that plays in the Production of Map's, Timing Ect. Im sure there's no big difference between all 94 + mx's, besides the process of checking for codes. As Tunes67 stated, all 94 and later are all B6DE engines. Good Luck !
