Clutch Slipping

Post by nolig2278 »

My clutch is not slipping out of gear yet but I floor 5th gear and the RPM jump without speed increasing.

this clutch is 2.5 years old some heavy duty kevlar plate. Should it have run out so fast. I would say maybe 30k miles on it.

thanks

If its lasted that long you have gotten more than your moneys worth. Higher grip clutch materials often wear out faster, this stresses the need to be sure to pick an application that is right for you but not overkill. If its what you need though and you liked the performacne of what you had then i would suggest getting another one and expecting that to be the lifespan of the clutch.
