what engine will fit my 94 mx-3 1.6 DOCH with no mod or some little mods?

I hear that the 1.7L v6 turbo (K7T) from a 98 626 is almost a direct swap. You just have to swap the bigger ac compressor since it will be used to cool the coolant. Unfortunately those were made and released only in Japan in feb-mar 98. It makes 256 Hp but only 192 ft-lbs torque. Try contacting the japanese importers in your area.
If that doesnt work out try doing a search and read the faqs and worklogs over at the mx-3.com website.

a v6 definatly isnt a direct swap into the 4 banger, and ive always wanted to say this-DO A SEARCH-wohoo first time and no one beat me to it but search for bp,b6t,bpt

I was looknig for the 1.8 BPT those the engine mounts change there place? thats the part I don't whant to do!

im 99.9% sure u dont have to change engine mounts im actually looking into the same swap, wut bp do u want? newer or older like out of the scort gt's

do bp's have the same smog points as a b6?

for an etest the difference between the two wouldnt be that much. cat,air filter, egr,etc. if they are in good working order, you shouldnt have a problem.

would a motor out of a 94 escort gt with a automatic transmission bolt up to a 94 mx3 standard transmission im not sure about the engine codes i should do a seach but everytime i do i cant find what i lookin for. i also got a whole 92 mx3 gs v6 i thought about swappin into the 94

There is a number of engines that can be installed while using your existing mounts they are:

BP from ford escort or 90-94 protege

BPT Jdm 323 (turbo)

B6T 1.6 of a capri or 323 gtx US (turbo)

Your transmission will bolt up to any of these without modification

sweet deal i can get a 94 escort gt motor thats nice to know any ideaon hp and torque
