I would start with taking your spark plugs out, or removing the heads all together. You might want to read this.

first off, dont do anything, next, go out and pull your plugs, all of them!

then go crank the car over, just hit the starter, so that the engine bairly turns. wait a split second, do it again, and again and again till your engine has done 1 compleate revolution, then go crank it over, hold the starter on for like 10 seconds or more, put your plugs back in, and pray you didnt dammage anything!

good luck!

If you sucked in enough water odds are your eninge might be toast. If it doesnt turn over at all price out a new engine. Sorry to have to say it but hyrda lock usually is not a survivablesitation.

I'd take the plugs out and then vacuum the pistons out if you can find something small enough to get down there. Hydrolock is only dangerous if you have enough water in the cylinder that it cannot fit into the squish area. Vacuuming it out will remove most of the water and then turning it over should help remove some more. Then all you can do is let it sit with the plugs out for a few days and try and crank it. If it won't crank do a compression test to see if you blew the rings or bent something. If the compression test is low or fails you need a new motor. If it doesn't then you can take a few other diagnosis steps before calling it quits on that motor.

magiccowinuse:

Just a question of curiosity - what caused your car to suck in all that water (CAI 'gone bad' or did you partially submerge the car, etc.)?

ouch.. i brought my engine back from hydrolock.. sucked water out.. dipped oil inside the holes.. started right up. IF you try to start car while water is in there you can damagge something. I think the starter doesnt have enough power to turn it over tho.. that happened to me. It was a 6 tho.. almost same thing.

if your engine wont turn over with the plugs out, better start looking for a new engine.
