I was considering buying a parts car (e.g. 626, mx6, millenia) and came across a cheap 626 originally from california. It is now in ontario, but hasn't yet been officially imported. From reading here, I know to confirm that it has the curved neck IM. Since I really only want the engine, I have 2 questions

1) If I use the engine, are there any engine parts that are cali-specific that I wouldn't be able to replace with new ones here?
2) Can I just send the rest of the car off to the junk yard without doing all the purchase paperwork here in ontario (legally :)

Thanks

The klde from the 626 will have a short straight neck. The engine parts will be the same as any other klde.

The only difference in the California KLDE's is the KL03 label and the ECU. It makes the car idle lower for smog emission.

No here is what a 98-02 626 intake manifold looks like. I believe lakersfan has one in his mx-3.
