Hey guys.

Could someone with lowered mx3 (Say 2" + drop) and wearing 18" or 19" wheels please post up a pic?

Thanks in advance.

with 19's you would have no tire left, and 18's you have next to no tire left, its just too big, there are a coupple of guys with 18's but not many, 16's ot 17's are way way way more suited for the 3.

I currently have 17s on also. And if using stock shocks then yes no tyre would fit, however if combined with coilovers this allows for tyre to occupy the bove room :)

I will need to tell you that I bought htose 18's and drove them for one week. The ride quality was so bad that I could not stand it. I am scared to get 17's now lol. :o

If those are indeed 19's on that one car, they can't possibly be the right size ratio tire. There's more meat on them than on your 18 pics. It's obviously just for show.

Proper size for the V6 would be 205-30-19 or about a 225-25-19.

It'd be straight up all radial bands above the rim. The only air would be the cavity in the rim. Which wouldn't matter because the rim would be bent in all of a week even on decent streets.

Newer cars can do 18's to 20's because the total outside diameters of todays car tires are much larger. Our cars were early 90's platforms, and 16's were considered huge then. The total outside diameter is just not big enough to accomodate it. If your car is straight up show, 17's will work OK. If you are going to race and/or daily driving, I'd suggest some nice 16's.

Yea I know what you mean, my 18's had some small as rubber though like 35 series. I could fit 40 series in there no problem with my drop. I think it is possible, but definately not recommended.

17s are perfectly fine for every day driving.

I would not recommend anything larger than that for daily driving, however.

My ride with 18's. Ive had them on for about 6 months and to me theres not much difference then when I had the 17's. 19's would be a lil to much though. Definately not a daily driver if you have 19's on it.

Stop showing pics of your car. Every time I see it I feel like I need to take a road trip to find your car and rip that hood scoop off the hood. Had to throw that piece of rice on an otherwise stellar car, didn't ya?
