What does this connector on the Engine Control?

Post by Blazianenigma »

Hey,
Just replaced the Wires, Ditsy, plugs, well...a whole lotta other stuff but ran across this connector that was rotted or corroded away.

What "did" this sensor go to?

I think it is the water temp sensor on a B series block.

Correct. Well, its one of them anyway. There should be two... the other one is right behiond it.

It is on the thermostat housing.

Thanks.
I tried finding theis at the Autozone...Advance and they didnt have the right one. What they had in the system as a direct replacement wasnt even the right one....it didnt even fit. :?
I eventually had to match the connector on the end from another car.
The guy there just started pulling random ones off the shelf to find one that looked the same height and had the same dual prong ending.
So far..it works fine.
