So far, I have went to 2 junkyards and only found 5speed tranny for a V6 off a 93 Mazda 626 (should work with MX3)
It had 156k miles and they were selling it for $230
The tranny was still in the car
The mileage seemed a bit high
I am going to have to go to a different junk yard
Any tips?

Isn't the 626 tranny the same as the MX-6 which ha sa taller final drive? I'm 99% positive you can use this tranny no problem. But i would see if you can find one thats got lower mileage.

I could a MX3 MTX tranny with clutch system, brake master cylinder, clutch master cylinder, ect for +$170
Only has about 92k
However, we're not sure if the tranny works because the car hasnt ever been driven
Sounds like a good deal?

Got to love those yanky wreakers, just park up them cars in a
paddock and let im rust! , alot like smash palace, which was a
wreakers yard in nz and a movie as well.
mileage is not a issue, but you want it to be clean and tidy, thats
when you score a good deal, should snap some pics of the
boxes ive scored to give you an idea, im a bit lucker due to
a lot of jspec stuff ends up in pickapart.
Whats on ebay?

how can we be so sure that a transmission sitting around in the open rain can be any better anyway? regardless of mileage, shouldn't we put into consideration of its condition and how long it's been sitting in that junkyard?

The thing is, he was being honest and told me that he isnt sure if the tranny has any problems.
Dont forget, the deal sounds too cheap aswell
It has 92k miles on it though...
Question,
How much are each these items worth?
Clutch master cylinder (USED)
clutch slave cylinder (USED)
Shift Linkage and rod (USED)
Clutch pedal assembly (USED)
Brake pedal assembly (USED)
MTX starter (USED)
Short Shifter (NEW)
Clutch Masters III (NEW)
Besides the CV axels and Intermediate shaft did I forget to list something?
And how much does a pressure plate, pilot bearing, clutch face and throwout bearing all cost BRAND NEW?

Around here there are so many JDM importers that you can pick up a MTX for under CN$ 100 with between 45000km to 70000km. If you can catch them just before a container is due to arrive many time they are throwing out low value "junk" to make room and often they will almost give away these trannies.

WTH are you talking about man?
Jaun, that is the point, they never show them on the site. You can phone or email them and ask for a tranny.
