No spark Problem

Hi there, I have had a no spark problem for long time now and I will clarify what I've done to try and fix it.
Firts of all it started on my old engine, So I tried the HEI mod , tried another disty and nothing happened. I did not have a engine light to come on eather. After reading here someone suggested that the crank angle sensor of my other disty is missing so I went to the junkyard and picked up a KLDE with disty, ECU, and everything. So I did the swap hoping that whatever sensor was bad in the old engine would be good in the new.

So now I have the new engine in and still have the same problem, I also had a AMP with SUbs that I hooked myself, and I was reading somewhere that if you have loose wire in the amp conection, it could bypass the fuses and burn stuff down the road. So now I have the HEI MODE and no spark, for any suggestions or giagnostics tips please let me know.

No engine light? sounds like a blown main fuse or simple fuse under the steering wheel. Mine have blown and whne that happens i wont get a psark and engine light doesnt come one. Mske sure u doublecheck the hei mod and DISABLE the strap for the original HEI.. the faq stgates its the coil.. IT IS NOT.. thats the old hei and disable it.. car will not start like that.

thanks for the response.
The HEI Mod is wired correctly, doulbe checked and the old HEI is disabled in the disty. The fuses under the dash look pretty good.
Where is that Main Fuse you are talking about? The ones on the driver side in the engine bay look pretty good .
Thanks

The main is the one in the engine bay. How are you spark plug wires? Where are you checking for spark from, the wire or straight out of the disty? How old are the spark plugs? Did you checge the cap and rotor on the disty you are using, if not how does it look? Pics would help show the condition of what I've asked if you are not sure.

Sure you did the HEI mod properly? What year is your car? What year did the DE disty come from?

94+ are different and not compatible with 92-93. 95+ DE is not compatible with any year mx3.

my car is 94 I have the KLDE disty and the KLDE engine and the KLDE ECU. I think there must be something with the wiring harness cause I have 3 disty, of which i think all are working. Anyhow I decided to buy a MSD Ignition, and hook it up. See how this is going to work .
All the other things ppl mentioned did not work, I checked the HEI Mod like 5 times, The disty gets power but just decides not to give spark.

Did it fire at all at any time? The reason I ask is that I recently had a problem where it started and ran and then during a short drive it died and had no spark. I put another ECU in it (along with many other things) and it ran and then did the same thing. As it turned out, both ECUs got fried because of a bad alternator. I replaced the alternator and got another ECU and it works fine now. I don't know if you had similar symptoms or not, but, I just thought I would share the info because it took me a while to figure out (with help from other members of course).
