Nice exhaust tone? Smooth and aggressive?

I have a brullen exhaust going into a Flowmaster and through a 3.5 inch chrome tip. It has a 30 inch resinator. The car is very quiet, and sounds like a nicely tuned BMW I have been told, but doesnt have that aggressive sound to it. I fired it up before putting the resinator in with just straight through HOTSHOT headers to Flowmaster. At idle all the way until about 3500 rpm it sounded just like GT mustang with flowmasters, but once you get into it it crackled like none other. Right now there is zero cackle in it, but sounds weak. I know it isnt all about sound, but I have to live with it everyday of the week and want it to sound nice. Should I get a small resinator? At what point will all od the kackle come back? A nice medium would be great. I want a growling monster but smooth also.. Any sound clips anywhere?
thanks
MARC

If it sounds like a BMW or a Mustang GT, what exhaust setup are you using besides the Flowmaster?

It sounded like a GT before the resinator.. Now it sounds like a bmw. I want a growl though, a mean inyyour face sound that isnt too ricerish, and abnocsious..

Hotshot headers, from my ZE through resinator and 40 series flowmaster. Mandrel bent piping. (brullen)

i went with lakersfan's suggestion and put in a glasspack res, which lets the deep tones through. sounds pretty good, i get a lot of compliments

What Flowmaster muffler did you buy exactly?
Glasspack can help

By the way, I would just go ahead and aim for the BMW type of sound.
There really isnt a way you can make your car sound like a V8.
V8s have 8 cylinders, 2 headers, running off of 2 cats, 2 mufflers and most of them ether have a HPipe or a X Pipe. Thats why they sound so mean

k well this might be funny but the best sounding muffler is actually the stock one with all the baffels ripped out and without a resinator.
Ill take a vid tomorrow.

one other thing is that flowmaster isnt really made for import cars.
You might want to look into something a little different

That does sound good from the inside
Hopefully, I can have a smooth and aggressive sound to my car
Dont want any ricer/Honda sound
