whats up everyone, just ordered a set of front and rear evotion lowering springs. I bought my mx3 with a broken stock ciol spring. anyone have the evotion springs here? if so how do they perform? also have a drift body kit on order and recently got the jdm 2001-2003 civic projector headlights have not installed them yet. all i need now are a nice set of rims any suggestions on rim size.

i have the evotion springs (ev 219) First thing, your going to have prblems with the drift body kit, and scraping the ground.

You will find with the springs that they take a while for them to settle all the way. after about a month of having them in the car, get a alignement.

As for ride quality, it not bad, a little harsh, but thats expected with lowering springs.

good to hear some feedback about these springs finally! i got a great deal on a set, which i plan to use on my escort gt. i couldnt find a review of these springs ANYWHERE.

about how much did they actually drop the car? i believe the package said 1.25" but we all know thats never very accurate..

i dont have a referance point, as i have the wrong size front tires. but i believe it to be just over 2" of drop.

it might not be quite that. with the wrong size front tires (too small) (185 40 R14) ive scraped the ground twice. With the proper size tires they wouldent even get up inside the fender, i might be wrong with my 2 inch guestimate. maby more like. 1.5? i have nothing to go by because all of my factory coil springs where broken.

ohhh, alright. well like i said the box for mine said 1.25, so maybe its more like that or 1.5 as you said. cool

I've got a set of Evotion Springs on KYB GR-2 struts.

I measure the lowering just a hair over 1.80" drop f/r

I run on 17's now - 205/40/R17

I don't have any body kit pieces (on the car... yet) but I haven't had ANY scraping issues, asside from the obvious massively large steep hills.
Hell, I can still pull into 90% of all parking spots and drive it all the way up until the wheel hits the curb. Obviously, wouldn't be able to do this if I had a kit though.

Install took me and a friend about 6 hours, we had to drive to his schools shop to use their spring compressor, twice - and it was 2-=25 minutes away. Honestly, It really was not that hard to do this.

Also, in the above picture, the car is actually lower now, as the springs have settled. - I got this springs for 30 bucks shipped off e-bay.. it was a steal and I'd recommend them to anyone!
