Keep it in the same thread
I dont think so though
Only time you have to change the ECU is when doing a engine swap and even then, its optional

u dont need it, it will just detect some error code i believe? which you can bypass. I did an atx to mtx swap in a previous automobile. I had to ground the neutral start switch (clutch switch)

not that im nosy but since you only have 8 posts and been asking the same question. perhaps you should try searching. actually searching is not even necessary, try looking in the faq.

you will find this link there
http://www.mx-3.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=34794

simple search will yield you tons of mtx to atx conversion results
http://www.mx-3.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.ph ... conversion

when i did my first atx to mtx conversion on my 3rd mx3 i personally found over 20 threads. the only things i couldnt find were the pictures of which wires to jump on the atx harness but i found that for you too...

search function is great. i have been able to complete just about every project i started on my mx3's because of it and for that i am a firm believer in learning to use it.

I have done the swap without chaning anything, but i do not have any reverse lights, so thats the only thing needing fixing...i think. Oh, and theres a thing near the ATX shifter that tells it when the car is in N or P, you need to make sure that thing is always pushed in.
what kind of car IS that?
