turbine wobble?

Okay...i decided i am going to bolt my car all back together and just drive it and see if i lose coolant... I was putting the turbo back on last night and notcied i have a BIT of up and down movement on the compressor turbine...How much is too much? Garrett ball bearing turbo by the way.

was there any oil in the turbo?
A little side to side is alright but any in and out is bad.

theres residual oil. I thought it was the other way around...side to side was bad and in and out was good...?

side to side indicates wear, in and out indicated something is broken....

Some wobble is normal. If you can actually make the blades touch the sides of the housing then your turbo is in bad shape. Any in and out movement is not good.. The side to side probally goes away when the car heats up and oil pressure gets in there. If you dont hear it scrape then youre in good shape.
