Hello,
Thank you for your answer.
Are you sure: Drivetrain: - 2 = 1.6 SOHC because my car is a 1.8l V6?

Thank you

The V-6 the 8 digit should = 4.
But mazda is not known for publishing a lot of info to decode the 8 digit for any of there cars so it could be wrong.

The data base I have shows the following for the MX-3 in North America

2 = 1.6 SOHC
3 = 1.6DOHC
4 = 1.8 V-6

Maybe we can get everyone to look at the 8th digit of their VIN and post which engine they have.

Question? Do all your VIN numbers match on the car? (Dash, firewall, engine, transmission, etc?) Many US cars found in Canada are scrap cars that have been rebuilt.

Look at this link:

Many a car are has to sell, of the USA, the VIN is indicated. You will notice, whom there is exactly the same one as me, MX3 V6 of 1993 are VIN is the same one as mine (share the job number has). Can be that coding changes, according to the state? mine comes from Florida. Thank you for your assistance.
