Pictures of the progress on the MX-3

Post by MX3driver »

it's been about a month and a half since I started the prepping for new paint and body kit for the mx-3. The body kit came from 2 different users on this site.. so thanks! You know who you are lol.
This is just a bunch of pictures to show some progress.. we sprayed it this afternoon, so these pictures were taking before and during the spray job.. we primed the entire car with high build, and then the rear we gave an extra coat of laquer primer because it's a little harder drying. The paint is 2 quarts of Diamont Base Clear.. custom color. and the pictures right now don't show the real colors that great because it's inside the bay..but it's a black grey with 400grams of "course metal flake" and 100grams of flop control.. so it's real high metalic.. but the good pictures will be taken tommorow when I bring her home in the sunlight..
Thanks to everyone that sold me the parts to get this thing going again!

i can't upload them on here.. there's too many.. so i'll give the link.. let me know what you think.. good or bad.. things i SHOULD add.. etc.

You can show your "Work in Progress" by creating your own "Worklog" here; http://www.mx-3.com/phpbb2/viewforum.php?f=46 Or, if it's strictly pics, then use this Forum; http://www.mx-3.com/phpbb2/viewforum.ph ... 805e32825e
BTW, nice pics and presentation.

That looks good for a house job. I'm impressed. Looks like a lot of time and effort was put into it which makes that car look that much better.

alright folks, it's DONE!!
FINALLY.. there was some sun this morning.. so i got up, washed it. and took some pictures.. still can't see the flop in the metallics.. but they're good enough.. we'll have to wait for a mx-3 meet somewhere near the atlantic canada end of things for everyone to see it... the car is gettin re-cleared, because it was overly humid.. and there are some spots that need to be wetsanded and cleared again.. but for now.. this is her!
thanks for the comments etc.
