performance chips

ok ....i have a question? can any tell me what would be the right kind of racing chip for my car or if a chip would even work for my car its a 92 mx3.i just want to know if its worht my time to by one of those chips off ebay or if any of u guys know anything better.

chips off ebay are a complete scam... i dont know if anyone on this board has any brand of chip

jarro, welcome to MX-3.com Hoodzy is pretty much correct. There are people out there that do a rechipping of our existing ECU's. Do a search for a member named "slammed6". While you're doing that, it would be good as a new member to get familiar with the search function. Since there is only one car discussed on this BB and with limited engine options and no body style changes or generations to contend with, most of your future questions will have already been asked. This BB has been in play for nearly 6 years so there's a wealth of posted data and info available. The search function is your friend. Don't forget about the other facilities available from the home page too http://www.mx-3.com/index.cfm where you will also find an online shop manual. It would be a good adea and strongly suggested that you fill out all sections of your profile as well create something in your signature block that will identify your MX giving specifics such as year, engine, mods etc. In this way any future questions should be replied to in a timely manner because they know your cars background already from the sig block.
