Why its hard and costly to mod the MX3 in the UK.

Ok so thought my car is due a fresh lick of paint but b4 I look into how much its gona cost i thought I might look at getting a kit put on there first.

I had to chuckle to my self for a while whn i saw the prices things are over here in the UK.

Just as an example, look at the full drift kit from Extreme Dimensions

In the US you can pick it up for arround $200, which if you ask me is F all, I spend more than that on the lash in Manchester.

what chance do we have of making a good effort of our cars over here, its fricking insane if you ask me.

Ive mailed the UK company asking them why its so expensive. ill keep you posted with their answer.

two words:
import taxes

i've imported just about everything i have for my mx3 and on everything the cost of shipping and import taxes has been ALOT more than the price of the item. Also shipping times has been a complete joke! For the money i have spent in the uk my mx would have had ze etc already done buy now in the states

your best alternative is to buy one of the kits from the netherlands or germany > but soon everyone will have those on their cars!

Even with Import tax etc a £200 kit should never esculate to over £800, its a freakin joke.

I know all about import tax my last MX had 18" ADRs from Miami, Inverted CF hood from california, glow guages, Street Glow Neon kit canada, etc. Glow guages not extra cost. CF hood only £60ish extra. Neon kit about £10 extra. Wheels were a dam joke on tax and duties as they charged each item as seperate. I got truley rodgered on that one. Lesson learned.

The UK is a frickin joke, im moving to the states LOL
