4th Donky meeting - the european MX-3 days

Post by mx almere »

03.08.2006- 06.08.2006 there will be the 4th time this meeting is held. Alot of photo's and movies from last year have been posted on this site so I thought I would give you guys an heads up. Last year there were about 70 MX-3's, this year probably more. That will make it the biggest MX-3 meeting in history.

The meeting will include (amongst other things)
- BBQ
- 1/4 mile race
- group drive

Here are some pics of last years meeting:

See for more information http://www.mx-3.eu

It is held in Germany, but there will also be MX-3 drivers from other countries, amongst them probably about 15 from the Netherlands. It would be cool to see some of you there.

(I know this is about a meeting, but I still thought I would place it in this forum. If one of the mods disagrees, please move it.)

my car is currently sat on the driveway with the front end on axle stands. the control arms, axles, suspension legs, wheels brakes etc have been taken off the car for prep work and a bit of cleaning. My engine is out of the car in the garage half way through swapping the parts over to the new one. i think your getting the pic lol

I would but my car is in no state for that journey this year. However by next summer the kit, lambo's and everything will be on and hoping to follow tommy d and have ze turbo by june/july 07 so put me down for next year

However, i'd love to see the photo's as last years meet looked excellent!

This would actually be really fun :)

But, it`s about 1123km each way, so I`m guessing it`s a no go for me.

Will there be any arrangements for hotel, motels etc for people from other countries?

-nope

The event is 4 days. The small airport where it is held will function as a camping for everybody that comes. Most of the MX-3ers that will be there will have to drive hundreds of km's to be there, not as far as you ofcourse, but far enough not to come to a one day event.

To give you an idea... For MXers from the Netherlands it is a 500-700 km drive, but we will be there with at least 15 cars.

So you are saying that we can bring along a tent and camp on the airfield for no expense? All we have to buy is food and drink?

The entry fee is 22 euro for every driver and 19 euro for every co-driver. This incudes:
- Breakfast
- BBQ
- A place for your tent

If you want to participate in the quarter mile race, that is an extra five euro.

Last year we were amazed at how much had been organised at little expense.
