Tranny troubles

Post by xmaster19 »

Ok I got troubles with my tranny, and I wanna know what you think is wrong.

I did a tranny swap last week and since then my car is parked.

I put a ?? tranny on my B5 engine. Now I think I've put the good flywheel/clutch combo to go with the tranny, but I'm not sure. When the engine is running, I can't get any gear in. If I try to put it in gear, you can hear the clutch hitting the flywheel.

I thought my slave cylinder was shot, so I tried 3 different slaves and 2 masters. All were working perfectly on the donor cars. With the clutch pedal floored, I tried to pry the fork further with a crowbar, but it has no where to go. The slave cylinder does it's job perfectly. There is something in the tranny that is not right. The clutch wont lift from the flywheel.

Any suggestions would be great, as for the tranny/flywheel/clutch thing, I seriously doubt this is the trouble. Unless you tell me there's a difference between the size of 1.6 SOHC, 1.8 SOHC and 1.6 DOHC flywheels. I think I have a 1.6 DOHC flywheel in a 1.8 SOHC tranny.
