hey guys my buddy may be giving me his mint mx3 with a swapped 2.5L motor, but its not running and i gotta go over all the wiring cause it recently looks hacked up. this car is really fast and I'd love to drive it for a while.

if u guys have links to install help, especially on wiring diagrams, please lemme know the links. i may just hard wire everything and disable/ hut the whole car out and just run it as a super sleeper.

You will want mx3 wiring diagrams since the 2.5s are swapped using the stock mx3 harness

left hand side menu you will find "online shop manual"

all electrical info for v6 mx3s is there,

ah man if it wasn't 5 in the morning i would have searched this site a little better. thanx for the info, but how does the oem wiring harnesses plug into the 2.5L motor? i figure its a mazda motor since the probe and mx6 had the same drivetrain.

i'll take your word either way, this is my 2nd mazda, my first was an '83 fully loaded 626, so the cars are very different, so i have alot of work ahead of me i suppose

its a thing of beauty, easiest engine swap ever...all thats needed for a 1.8 v6 mx3 is a 2.5 motor, ecu, and vaf.... the rest is plug and playtime

and youre right, it is a Mazda engine, K series engine family

K8 = 1.8 v6
Kf = 2.0 v6
KL = 2.5 v6

that is frickin nuts! i still can't believe it........
