klze turbo

i havent seen many posts about this but it it ok to turbo a klze 2.5 ? Also my swapp is going from a 93 probe with my klze and a "manual tranny to my 92 mx-3 with the "auto tranny" i think i have everything to do the swapp but what about the harness going from auto to manual? Anyone know???

You can turbo a KLZE. Infact im close to having this done, i just orderd my lasssst parts today that i needed to start the build : ). Just make sure you be extra careful around the tuning aspect of it. Higher compression so you have less room for error. I also hear that around 330-350 hp or so you start bending the oem rods..so be careful of that also.

Other than the turbo what mods on the ze are nessasary. I orderd my turbo today but im kinda having issues with my ze running like crap it idels very well but if you try to drive it it pops. checked timing ,replaces the usuals but still like crap , im supposed to give mt k8 to my girlfriend for her mx3 but dont want to end up with a nightmare. any ideas?

For the ZE it would be good to get the 2.3 lt supercharged milininia injectors (higerflow rate) or any other higher rate injectors. Good fuel managment, haltec, MSnS, or sumthing might wanna stay away from an FMU. 255 fuel pump. All depending on what boost you run, ive heard people dont usually go over 8 PSi on the ze.
Not sure what ur prob is..i would of said timing..but you checked that already..maybe VAC leak and TPS...

Stock rods are the main concern.. Ive seen people break them @ 7psi and higher, but some people have had better luck.
The other concern is valve retainers. They are actually smaller than the US KL's retainers. When my head was rebuilt, we used KL retainers in my ZE head because they were stronger. Some people have had issues where high reving has actually broken valve retainers.. and thats BAD news for that engine.

what is a MSnS? and what ar do i get the it from{ years and modle } also whats a fmu? im going to be running 5-6 lbs of boost. Also y r we talking about retainers? Will i be needing to replace them and what about my stock im virus? Last stupid question is i noticed my wiring harness splits in 3 direstions with my mx-3 and on my probe its one solid pice can it still be used ? im really need it to convert from my auto tranny to the manual. OH ANYONE LIVE WITHIN 200 MILES OR NORTH IDAHO THAT HAS DONE THIS OR ANY MODS ???

Dude im so stoked yet pissed at myself. i had plugs 1 and 4 backwards and now im running tip top. {kicking self} now i just gotta decide what to do. turbo is on its way!!

oh and i see megasquirt is a 7th ingector controller, i have that alwready.

megasquirt isnt a 7th injector controller. it allows for tunability of ur fuel delivery

people swap ze's in probe and in mx-3 without changing the harness so that would be a yes you can still use it

i need it due to the auto to manual tranny swap im doing it just seems the loom on the mx3 splits in 3 and the probe is just one big harness
