Rigging CD Changer Plug For iPod

Hey, my Alpine head unit doesn't have a input for my iPod. I tried a fm transmitter but it had really crappy quality. I did notice that it has a plug on the back for a cd changer. Can I rig it up so that I can use it as an audio input?

I have an FM transmitter...its decent...not great quality...but I have noticed it gets a LOT better when I have my car adapter charger plugged in...extra antanna basically, I think

yeh but it's still FM... Frequency Modulation
for 8 bucks that wire = direct connection sound...
