stuck antenna

i have a 92 gs and the radio antenna is stuck in the out position. no matter how hard i try i can't get the thing to go back in. it doesnt seem to be bent or anything, could therre be something blocking it? where does it go exactly when you push it in. i took off those 2 screws, and looked inside everything appeared to be in order. also, this happened directly after i put new front fenders on, but i doubt that is related...any help?

could just be gunked in there. try squirting some lube in there. i got this stuff called deep creep. works excellent for most stuff like that for me http://www.seafoamsales.com/deepCreepTech.htm

HB2k, thanks for the reply. i took your advice and shot some silicone spray i had laying around into the hole the antenna goes into, and took the screws off and shot some on/in the plastic thing it slips into, i then got some pliers to grab it, and twisted and pushed at the same time. it worked great! thanks for the advice. later.
