I need to get a new ATX for my 92 GS. Will the KLZE automatic work fine with this or do I have to get the regular 1.8L ATX? Thanks.

Unfortunately..., the consensus is NO, it just won't fit

It might fit, but it will not run with the MX-3 wiring.

damn, then why did JDM ENGINE DEPOT tell me different?

What about the 2.0L KF tranny? Will it work with the K8?

I emailed JDM ENGINE DEPOT and asked them the same thing. Here is the conversation:
Hi,
I was wondering if this transmission will work with my 1992 MX-3 GS with the 1.8L V6. Your auction says it fits a 2.0L MX-3 but there was never a 2.0L engine offered for the MX-3 thats why I am asking.
What you need is the k8 or klze v6 trans wich we have for $349.
Thank you,

As previously posted, the wiring WILL not match up. I've yet to hear for sure whether the transmission would fit. (it'll fit the engine no prob, not sure on fitting the rest of the car though) It is a little larger and one mount would have to be fabricated, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't physically fit. Wiring wise, it's possible with alot of thought and dedication, but it's not going to come close to plugging up. If they can get me a good K8 ATX for $350 though, I may have found my savior..

I've been in contact quite a bit with JDM Engine Depot. I would be iffy about buying an ATX from them if you're in the market for a normal 1.8L ATX. After quite a few emails they don't seem to know their Mazda transmissions too well, and in the end tried to sell me a 2.0L V6, not the transmission I'd been conversing with them about all week long. Not saying they're a bad supplier, just make certain they're sending you what you want in regards to transmissions.
