Turbo question. (On K8 1.8L Engine)

Hey guys/girls.

Anyone here with a knowledge of turbocharging the k8 engine??

Reason im asking is that i work at a metal fabrication supply place so manifold building is of no problem. Sourcing oil/water lines is no problem also, along with piggy-back puter, piping, f/m/i etc.

Question is, will K8 handle something like 7psi?

But most of all due to a "V" shape of engine with manifolds coming out on both sides how will this work? Twin turbos? If so will they require any special timming procedures if same size?
Or will i need to get one small and one large turbo with small winding first and larger after.

Also, will k8 need any compression work to run 7psi or lower?

Any help with this K8 i get ould be most apreciated.

If you search, or look in the forced induction forum, you`ll se there is a groupbuy for a bolt-on turbo-kit for both the K8, DE & ZE.

$2400 for a complete kit with IC, turbo, all pipes etc.
Very nice price.

That said, I wouldnt push more than 5 psi on the stock K8.
The rods dont hold too much power.

I'm going to say what most of the boosted people on Probetalk would tell you. Its all in the tuning. 5-7 psi is safe if its tuned right.
Research my setup. I have added an intercooler and upped my boost to 10 psi. Is it safe? time will tell. I found some great sites that can help with the math and according to the math I should have enough fuel for 250 hp, somewhere around 10 psi.
With the price of the pipes I don't think I would even mess with fabrication.
