My alternator is noisy. It's kind of like a whine (like the ones you hear with a cheap amp or a bad ground through speakers). The sound is comming from the alternator area and I'm pretty sure it's the one doing it. My voltage reading of the altnernator is between 13.95v and 14.1v when idle.<P>Is my alternator about to give up ?<BR>should i go ahead and change it ?<BR>I have a 96 RS, how much can it cost, and should I buy a V6 alt. is it hard to install?<P>thanks!
