Turboing a non-turbo BP swap

I have access locally to a BP front clip from a 1995 mercury Tracer... it's a non turbo BP05..

I've ALWAYS planned on turboing my mx-3.. a BPT from a GTX or GTR seems like alot more hassle and alot more money then this front clip is going tobe..(motor $300/can; calling tommorow for a front clip quote)..

If i installed this front end i'd be looking at around 1200 dollars i think, and getting a turbo manifold made from a Miata Manifold would be easy.. after that it's FMIC and a piggy-back ECU controller...

Thought's, Advice, Comments...

Details aside overall it is essentially a good plan.

Damn thats a good deal for all that stuff. I'd jump on that.

Dont waste you rmoney on a "JDM" BP because they are the same as a USDM one.

Yeah that is worthwhile as long as the motor is in good shape.

When we bought mine the car was still intact and we were allowed to do a compression test on the motor (while it was still in the wrecked car) you might considerd seeing if they will do the same. Or offer any warrenty. Either way its a good deal.

what's the stock compression on a bp? 9:1... what's that like 130psi?

bugger made me have to finally dig out my trusty chiltons..

Yeah its 9.0:1 but it lists as 185 psi. Not sure what the actual specs should be within though, its hard to look it up when your really drunk.
