Not a waste. The other thread is a bit more tricky to find. Now it's linked!

Good luck epromming!

pfft!! i dont think Im going to do it my self. Im VERY limited in pic emulation and untill i visited these forums, never heard of eproming. Im thinking of doing the whole jet chip send it off thing.

Cool, let us know how it works for you if you jet chip it. BTW- do you have a ZE or K8?

I believe its a k8. The only numbers ive found were on my throttle body. Im pretty sure the car is stock mx-3 gs v6.

Don't waste your money. The Jey-Chip was a few hundred dollars last time I checked (about 8 years ago  ). A KL-DE swap from any other V-6 Mazda will cost only a few hundred more and give ALOT more power than a Jet-Chip. :D
Also, once you get all the parts for a DE swap your MX will probably be down for less time changing the motor than sending the ECU off to be reprogrammed.

Pat, have you tried a jet-chip at some point in your mx-3 career? Just wondering, as I just purchased a ZE MX-3 GS!!! and I plan on experimenting.

Also I'd like to post that if anyone is interested in having their ECU (or spare ECU) socketed for easy eprom changes PM me for details.
