TV Show The Pretender

I was watching with my gf tonight The Pretender on DVD and much to my suprise, in the episode called Bomb Squad (aired 1-18-97).
Definately not a place I expected to see an MX3. Correct me if I'm wrong, but those licensce plates seem rather wide, so I would guess this scene was shot in Canada?
Sorry for the blurry pictures, my dvd software isn't the best and the scene unfortunately didn't focus on the real star.
