MX-3 Criticism

Hey,

I have had 2 mx-3's so far and it is my dream car and I love it!
But when i think about it mazda did go wrong in many crucial aspects of this car didnt it?
That is why we spend time and money to fix those things such as
Engine - 130 hp's not that fast, the RS even worse
Sound - Stock speakers suckkkk
Headlights - they get yellow and are weak

for an example VW Corrado Vr6.... people dont change much of it because it is done properly from factory...engine is quick, speakers good, headlights strong everything else good...

Do you see my point with this?

Cheers

Umm I may have gotten something pretty special with mine then... because my stock speakers sounded damn good. Had lots of bass and were pretty F'in loud for being almost 10 years old at the time.

Since my car got crashed yesterday I had 2005 elentra as a rental and thespeakrs blow the heck out of mx-3...
I know its a new car bla bla but how do I re-create it in an MX-3?

I already replaced the rear ones with a pair of some competitionspeakers, I forget the name, bazooka maybe I dunno... but not even clsoe to that of hunday

Is it the isolation? Shape of the speaker casing?
is it possible?

Dunno.. I replaced the blown stock speakers in my MX-3 with 6.5" Kicker speakers and I think they sound excellent. Not sure how good the stock speakers were.. all 4 were blown or had holes in them.

When I got my Mx...went out and changed the head unit and sure enough in about a week I was back getting speakers....I sucessfully destroyed 3 of them.

But I do agree..had Mazda put in the DE motor for the GS and make a few more improvements to the car from the factory it would have been a good seller.

every car has its weak points. just let me know which car and i can name a few problems with it. No car is perfect for what you can for the price of what you'd pay for your mx-3

I agree no car is perfect but simple things like a nice motor and good set of speakers would only have been logical...I mean one was not asking for over the top improvements.

I dont classify the K8 as being a weak point in the mid 90s when it was for sale..... slightly low on power yes, but look at its competition a crx and nissan NX, both 4 bangers while the GS comes with an All- aluminum 60 degree V6 that has a really nice sound - thats pretty cool

of course i think an mx3 with a DE from the factory woulda been a beast, but it would of been more expensive and out of the class of a crx and nx

I still have my stock speakers in my GS and I think they sound really good, the reason why it hasn't been on my high-priority list of upgrades.

Power wise, you got think too, alot of Mazda's vehicles didn't have all that much power, even the RWD Miata didn't have much power either. If the Mx-3 had more powr, than what would of come out of the Mx-6?

Well I would think offering the DE in the GS for the MX  would have given people an option to get a powerful sports car...but if they wanted something more everyday fam...etc then get the Mx6
