My light comes on after i've used up 8 gallons, but then tends to go off for a while. It doesn't light up constant untill 9 gallons have been used. That leaves you with well over a gallon left before your car will start to sputter. Depending on city or hwy that can be anywhere from 30 to 60 miles.

Which is good since my fuel gage doesn't work  that light is my only friendly reminder to pull over.

strange... I have the same car.

I drive a 95 RS MTX too, but canadian style, which has the light

My parts car is a 92 GS ATX, american style, that also has the light

The gas light is just a dot under the E that lights up orange, its pretty damn hard to see when its not on, maybe yours burned out or there is a bad connection :? :?:

All MX-3's have 13.2 Gallon tanks.. (US Gallons not Imperial Gallons). On my car.. the gas light comes steady after 10-10.5 gallons have been consumed. At an offhand guesstimate.. I think about 1 gallon of fuel may be in the fuel system (not the tank) under pressure at any given time. So that should leave you with 2-3 gallons of fuel. This is misleading though.. because that gallon of pressurized fuel must remain pressurized or the engine will stumble or even die. By my estimate.. from the point where the light is on steady.. you should have about a gallon of gas as a reserve.. maybe 2 gallons depending on variances in float placement or sensor location. So roughly.. 30-40 miles.. give or take 10 miles depending on speed and weather conditions. Cheers :D

I have aEuro 96 V6. I cant see where the gas light is either and suspect it doesnt have one and although I've run it till the needle was on empty I don't want to run out of petrol.

The other thing I don't have is a light in the glovebox which is a pain when you're bumbling around in the dark for something in there- I know theres the interior light but it doesnt cast enough to really help. I know this car is older but sh1t my old 1971 mercedes had both of these lol
