I've read and searched around but could not find a definitve answer. Is the stock GS swaybar hollow or solid? And what is the diameter? I've seen a few different numbers for the diameter. I'm trying to figure out whether or not I want to get a new swaybar.

I measured it today and it's 20mm. Not positive yet whether it's solid or hollow. But I have enough info to know I'm going to order the whiteline bar.

I ordered my Whiteline swaybar today. It will be on the boat from Australia in January and it will be here sometime in March. Whenever it wanders up to my house I'll try and drill into the stock bar and find out if it's hollow or solid.

There's a whiteline distributor in America you know that ?
probably would have take less time

I ordered it from the American Distributor (Globalperformanceparts.com).

It was an extra $75 to have in about 4 weeks or regular price to have it in March. I don't really need it so I told them to just throw it on their next stocking order instead of placing a special order.

In that case maybe I'll order one too and maybe they will move the order up a month or two... I'd like to have mine in February.

Here's a couple blurbs from my email conversation with them regarding shipping etc. For the extra $75 you could probably have it by Feb.
Thank you for your interest in Whiteline Automotive!

The BMR57 is a part we do not normally stock. We have a couple options
to get this for you. The 1st way would be to get by air from the
factory in about 4 weeks for an additional $75.00 for air freight, or
we can order with our next sea shipment that will depart mid January
and arrive here mid March at no additional freight charge. Let me know
if either of these will work for you. In either case, we will not
charge your credit card until the part is here and ready to ship to
you. Thanks.
Every sway bar comes with at least bushings. Some kits come with other hardware, such as endlinks, but only if it is needed to fit the sway bar. Thanks.

Ok, So I have a 92 RS but I have a 93 GS rear sway bar sitting here. Is there a difference in size? If so will I notice anything??

Stock is 20mm, Whiteline is 22mm

Oddly enough, my 1993 Mazda factory shop manual says the stock rear "Stabilizer" (I.E. the anti-roll bar) is 22.0 mm in diameter...

Could be a misprint, but I'll measure my stock rear bar when I am under the car next!
