Anyone want to take the time to show me how S/Cs work?

I know very little on how a Super Charger works. All I really know is that it's belt driven and that the bigger the pulley, the more boost. I also know that boost from a S/C kicks in at any time unlike a turbo where you have to be at about 4-5k RPMs

Anyone want to take the time to show me or give me a idea of how SuperChargers work?
I already tried that "How Stuff Works" site

What I meant was how the inside of a super charger works. Like what the pulley is spinning, how does it compress air, ect.
Not why it adds power to a engine

i think its basically the same way a turbo does but instead of being driven by the exhaust its belt driven...if that helps

http://www.howstuffworks.com and search superchargers.

but yea the pulley connects to a turbine (looks kinda like a fan blade) to force air into the motor...really simple design.
