How do you remove the gauge cluster on 93 models??
Hi everyone, I got my car last week, and can't get my plates until next month so I'm just started the inside work. I already painted my door, metalic black with lots of flake, looks nice in the sun. Now im trying to do the rest, so, how do I remove the gauge cluster? the radio trim and all that centre consol and such? I searched on this site and found 4 posts asking the same questions, lots of views but 0 replys, so please please please someone can tell me where all the screws are with pic please, that would mean so much to me and lots other, thank you in advance

I did my indiglos a loooong time ago, but I will attempt to remember.
I removed some bolts from the underside of my steering column. This allows it to drop a little bit, exposing some screws that you need to remove to get the gauges out.
That is about all I can say, the rest isn't too hard, just don't lose any screws, or the bolts!
I'm sure that someone else has more detailed information...

No more MX-3.
The guage cluster is easy to get out.
1. remove 2 screws from under side of the steering column cover, take the top cover off.
2. remove 2 screws that are hidden behind the cover you just took off.
3. remove 2 screws that go thought the top of the guage cover
4. remove cover & unplug the wire harnesses for the hazards & cruise control
For the other parts start in the back & work forward.
1. take out 4 screws (2 on each side) of center consol & remove it
2. take out ash tray
3. remove 2 screws under the ashtray & 1 screw on each side of the consol towards the front of the car
4. unscrew shifter knob, (unless it's an auto then I don't know) then remove it
5. radio trim is held in by clips so just find a place to grab a pull
Good Luck!!! It's easy once you see where the bolts are at.
