Other info may be of substantial help, without which, it's just a crap shoot. IM??, TB?? VAF?? etc. What has been done aside from ZE and ZE ECU?
Check throttle cable adjusment.
Has a proper TPS adjustment been done since ZE install?
Have all vaccum lines been checked?
Have you checked for CEL codes?
If unsure of how to accomplish these tasks, info available and retrievable via search function. Key words; TPS, vaccum, CEL, cable, idle, surge.

ya it sounds like you might have your throttle held open a bit by the throttle cable. you want it to be tight but you want the throttle butterfly to be closed all the way.

That's it???? You have nothing more to offer? Sounds like it's going to turn into 20 questions before we get some equitable backround on this and are able to make any headway. There was a good reason why I put those questions to you. Since you haven't responded to the rest of the Q's, are we to assume that they haven't been done or that they are going to be done or that you don't know how to do them? Progress is going to be pretty slow if there is insufficiant backround.

hey sorry I meant that was all that was done
Check throttle cable adjusment. * it is tight but has slack*
Has a proper TPS adjustment been done since ZE install? *mechanic installed engine so i doubt it*
Have all vaccum lines been checked?*nope*
Have you checked for CEL codes? *whats that, when he did swap he pulled no codes*

Since you acquired the services of a mechanic for the install, why wouldn't you bring a malfunctioning situation which appears obviously atrributable to his handiwork, back to him in the first place. This appears to be shotty work on the part of the installer and therefore should be referred back to him for resolution, IMO.

So what are you trying to say? What do you mean by this? Sorry bud, crystal ball is on the fritz and I gave up trying to read minds years ago. Your best results are accomplished if you tell us a story .... a longggggggg story. Where you are at now, what has been done in the past and everything in between. Think of it as going into see a new doctor for an ailment. Personal/medical history (a complete history) is critical to a successful diagnosis. You've got a couple of unfinished items to reply to and while tending to that perhaps you can compile that 1.5 year's worth of data into some tangable resource material that we can help you with.

J is not being mean, but we do need some real heavy background to help diagnose a car without seeing it.
I'd guess TPs needs to be adjusted and the vaccum needs to be checked. Since you had a mechanic do the work are you capable of checking these things on your own, or are you just fishing for ideas to tell a mechanic about?
It definately sounds TPS related though. A simple search will give you the steps to adjust it, it is easy to do. Then set the idle and again a search will tell you how to do that, easy and quick. Even for a non-mechanical person you are probably looking at no more than a few hours to check and set the TPS and idle.

Another thing too, has it been like this for the entire 1.5 years, or has it just started acting up?
Have you done any other mods or tweeks just before this happened.
Info is the key to getting good help

ok so I got the klze 1.5 years ago. klze ecu ms8 manifold and tb. Stage 2 act clutch. I have always had short ram intake even on my old engine. This problem started a couple weeks ago. I am not sure what it is but it is getting worse. Used to do it once every couple days now it did it twice while in the mcdonalds drive window. I gotta turn off the car and everyone must have thought i was a terrible driver. I am not sure what else you guys want to know except my intake fell half off once and we didnt know what it was and we messed with the tb cable a bit a month ago but not too much. The problem did start after that but not right after like a week or 2 after. my car has always idled really high like 1000rpm so i did the idle screw to get it down to 400 but when i take it out of gear while rolling to a stop it takes a long time to get back to normal idle usually sits at 1100rpms then finally drops. That has always been that way since the swap. I really do want your guys help i am just not sure what else you want to know?

I also believe it's your throttle possition sensor. TPS. Mine is acting crazy at times. It revs sporatically at idle. usually between 1000 and 2000 rpms. I also had a problem with my throttle sticking open. May not be the problem if you are mashing on the gas and it doesn't eventually correct itself. Try spraying a little graphite or 3 in 1 oil, maybe wd40 on your throttle cable. Try to lube it up a little and also on the springs attached to your throttle body. If the cable or tb are sticking, that should help with that problem. But it does sound more like tps, which you would need to do a search on.

I vote for a tps adjustment, throttle linkage check, and... cleaning throttle body if those dont fix it.
Or else you can give it to me:-)
