So, I look at the FAQ.. the pics have gone missing by the looks of it! :(

I find my diagnostic unit which looks like this...

gently opening it, I find a myraid amount of pins! 0h n0es..

but theres none that are labelled Test ENgine or GND (or anything else for that matter.)

Where have I gone wrong

oh and I have gigantic versions of these pics + a few more, I'm happy to host them and put them in the FAQ after some editing to label them up? Hows that sound!

It's not on a diagram on the underside of the cap?

If memory serves, looking at only thatlarger cluster of pins, and holding your head 90 degrees to the left, it's third from the left on the top row, and the one all the way on the left on the center row.

That'll do it.

90 Degrees anti-clockwise I take it?

I'll label up a picture and it can be used in the FAQ thread, as currently its not much help to a hapless non-car techie person like me who's just tryna not break his / her car!! Hopefully this will reduce the amount of threads like this ;)

Correct and the pin to the right (beside) of the TEN pin is the B+ pin which ZE owners use to retrieve their CEL codes IIRC.

Thanks very much, - Can we edit the FAQ and include this picture(s) ?

The thread is currently missing all photographic stuff, and a picture says a thousand words, as they say... It'd be a great help to future newbies and all that

and seeing as its a Flickr picture, it wont get deleted in 6 months time when I change hosting or whatever (I have both, stupidly..but flickr is nicer  )

:edit:

the FAQ thread is here

I looked through the B2 (or was it F2.... )

pages 70 to 80, and it mentioned a lot about it but I never saw the actual pinout like that, oh well.

Is the immobiliser the CEL light? (the key one)

Nowt extra came on apart from that, but it went off after a second or so, afterwards .... reckon the bulb is blown / disconnected?
