Rotary Mazda3 Coming Soon. . .?

Post by RaverChankoMX3 »

Heard alittle rumor last night from my Mazda friends that rotary Mazda3 (possible RWD) could be introduced into the line-up. Mazda has reservations about intermanufactuer comptetion, however. I'll see what else I can dig up and post in the near future. Nevertheless, I though I'd pass it on

Yea, I can see and somewhat agree.

The problem is that apparently Mazda only wants to promote TWO max sports cars in their line up: MX-5 & RX8. This means that one of those would have to drop before they went with probably dubbed, "RX10" to replace the RX8 when that subsides (if or when it does).

I think a third option could be a detuned RENSIS into a Mazda3. I believe that would sell like friggin' hot cakes.

Look further, for those of you don't know, the Mazda3 and the Volvo S40 share the same platform and it's RWD.

I believe there could be a deman for a rotary powered RWD Mazda3 with say around 170-190hp. Kind of reminds me something similiar of like an S13 coupe. (I think S13, I don't know how those nissan guys keep all those straight sometimes)

Read me again, I'm not saying this is truth, but it is fun to talk about I can see a space in the sports car market it would appeal to. Kind of like how lots of people would drool for a wankle'd-up MX-5 on boost. Ya'know, Joe?

the only thing that they are comtemplating rotary is in the kabura, but they doubt that will happen. There were rotary mx-5 rumors for years.

The only thing that is rumored to happen is a MazdaSpeed3.
