GTS headlight covers

In preparation for Tatsu's promising projectors being conceived, I called around looking for GTS covers earlier today. Nobody seems to carry them. I tried Canadian Tire, Napa, Mopar, Matrix Motorsports. Nothing. Canadian Tire USED to have a listing from them, but their buyers no longer do business through those channels. I thought about giving PartSource and Auto Value a call, but if those first few shops didn't have them, I don't think the other 2 would have them either. Even if Auto Value did have them, it's a 3 hour drive to get there since this frickin' s----hole of a town I live in doesn't have an Auto Value. I looked at the GTS website and couldn't find a link where I could buy directly from them. Where else can I get some locally or am I gonna have to go online for these as well?

you can acquire the same look as the GTS covers by using pectra racing finish tint paint on them. its normally used on model cars and such and can be bought at any hobby shop im sure. just make sure the paint color is window tint haha.

In the states, you can get them from AutoZone. Don't know if that helps?

Go back to Canadian Tire and tell them to get them from their Toronto supplier called Keystone. Probably one of the biggest supplier in Toronto. Their catalogue make a sears catalogue look pale. keystones price - $69.03cdn plus tax and shipping to Canadian Tire. Keystone part # GTO 518C. Item may not be in the catalogue but tell them to order it anyway using that Keystone part #. I've recieved 5 sets through them already. Some took 3 weeks and another set took 2 days.
Did you not do a search on this already? I'm quite sure I posted this exact info months ago. Anyway, good luck.

Thanks, John, and yes, I did find that post of yours mentioning this already. That's why I went to Crappy Tire in the first place. But when the associate looked it up, he said his system didn't have a price listing on them anymore and therefore wouldn't be able to order them. That exact same part number did show up on screen, I remember that much, but he said I had to go elsewhere. I'll go back there my next day off and mention their Toronto supplier and see what they can do. Hmmm.... when was the last time you bought a set off them? Thanks!

Looking for the clear ones to go with Tatsu's project. Not interested in "smoking" them. Thanks for the suggestion though.

When you go back to CTC, it may be best to not go to the same "associate" with your request. 95rs is correct, and perhaps asking for the parts manager or simply going to another CTC might be another alternative. Strange they wouldn't order because they don't have a price listed. Of course the shipping will be a bit more and the turn around time may take a little longer .... don't know if Keystone has another warehouse in the mid-west or not. On my first order last spring, CTC made me pay up front for it and for subsequent orders, it wasn't required .... a trusting customer I guess .... and I've gotten to know most of the parts peeps over time anyway. Last set(s) that I got was about mid July for Black Majic in Holland (Bastian). Took nearly a month to get to him. Hope your more successful next time around chiggles.

yah they dont even charge you for shipping because technically it is a ctc product that they are selling you so yah if you have the part number just ask them to look it up in keystone and well there only wharehouse is in the midwest and everything has to go to toronto first then to the stores i know for me here in manitoba its usually 4 or 5 business days and right now is there busy time so it might even be more like 3 business days. i hope this helps and well ctc is probably the best place i find to get aftermarket parts because no1 really knows about them and well the parts manager here is my good friend and he wants to possibly use my car for a demo sorta thing to get ppl to know they aell parts like that..... so i donno im sure youll find them there so good luck and well if u get an a--hole i ll talk to the manager here and see if he can get some for you

95 rs, John - Thanks for reaffirming that CTC is supposed to carry the covers. I'll go there with the part number you mentioned and just ask specifically for them to look it up in the Keystone catalogue on Tuesday when I get my next day off. That first associate I talked to must have been some noob, I guess.... :?:

Success! Took them awhile to figure it out, but having the part number on hand was the key. For whatever reason, even the actual Keystone catalogue physically on-hand didn't have a listing for it. I flipped through it myself and saw the listings go from Honda, Jeep, and jumped right to Mitsubishi. Not a single Mazda listing in the catalogue for the covers. Weird. But thanks to knowing what the part number was, they either called Keystone or their DC and had it special ordered. Prepay was no big deal. Should be here in 5 - 10 business days. :D Thanks again to 95 rs and John!
