hell yeah...since of yesterday..my car has been boosting 20psi..and yes IT PULLS damn hard. I was scared at first
I got a friend who's in dsm's said he wanted to compare his car with mine.. He was running 18psi in his talon AWD TSI.
He ask me how much time does it take to go from 80kph (50mph) to 120kph (75mph) in 4th gear WITHOUT downshifting. He told me he was in the 7 sec. range. I didn't knew at the time. I tried it today..a little less than 4 sec. for me.
I am running around 75% dutycycle on my 550cc. I'm guessing I'm somwhere around 350-370whp since I'm untuned (timing AND fuel). My WB is giving me strange readings so I can't really count on it.
the only thing that sucks is FWD and open diff. :( traction is an issue on the first 3 gears. (running on 17/40-215 rubbers)
Next thing is to get real numbers on a dyno and tune it a bit and then go try it at the track, with slicks of course.. I'm sure I can get into 12's and 400whp once highly tuned.

BOOST IS FUN <insert ear to ear smile here>

somehow i would think you would be making more power than that with 20 PSI

well I was only estimating it..never drove in a car that fast before so i don't know the difference between 350-400 and let's say 500whp lol
but ya like I said poorly tuned for now..need tuning with timing AND fuel. Now I just put some values so the car can run nicely, not powefull..stay tuned though..tuning time will come.

thnaks guys for the comments

I wish I had the guts to turn my BP to 20... at 15 it hauls :). Sounds like you are having fun with your car blue. Just a peice of advice, get to the dyno within the next two weeks. At that high of Boost and with a nice rebuild like that if you don't tune it right you are gonna screw something up faster than if you had a used engine, learned that from personal family expierences with newly built* engines....

*Built: almost a race engine build

I'm pretty close. 18 psi. Fun, isnt it? :)

I ran 13.05 @ 109.5 with a 2.2 60' last track visit.

Be careful. Running that high of boost untuned is nothing to be playing around with. You can easily trash that multi-thousand dollar motor.
