Fellow Canadians: Insurance
Hi guys, I tried searching this topic out incase someone had already made a post but didnt find any so here goes...
I might be getting an MX-3 tomorrow and I was gathering some quotes and they all seemed to be around the 3000$ canadian per year if i'm the main driver and if i register as the 2nd driver its around 2200$.
How much insurance do you pay for your MX-3 / year?

BC insurance.....$780/yr. ICBC, govt insurance. In Alberta it would be at least $1200 for the year. What province are you in?

I pay $1750/year, perfect record with driving school, full coverage (but mods not included), under my own name, and I'm only 24, however not only does it include a familly 10% discount since "I live at home", but my address is in Port Colborne (near Niagara Falls), and apparently it's cheaper in that area.
I started out at $2600/year 3 years ago, but it dropped to $1800/year when I turned 23

Hallellujah for Government insurance. As soon as provinces like Ontario and Alberta went to private insurance, the cost went thru the roof. Of course, the arguement at the time was privatization was going to REDUCE costs due to competition. Riiiiiiiiiiiiight..... And my name is Elmer Fudd.
Here's hoping BC always stays with govt insurance.

I pay $115 CAD (I even converted it for you) a month for the minimum insurance allowed by law for my MX-3 & my 87 B2000 Cab Plus. I have a squeaky clean driving record and I am old now so that helps. And I still complain about the costs LOL
