Sway bar / stabilizer link
I need the little link from the front stabilzer to the control arm for my 1993 MX-3 4 cyl SOHC. All I can find is a REAR sway bar link or repair kit and it does not look the same as what I have. The bolts on each end of the link face opposite directions in my car, and all the ones I've seen, they both face the same direction. I hope you can understand what I mean. Has anyone else faced this? Or anyone have any suggestion on where to look for this part? I've been on partsamerica.com AKA advance auto parts and rockauto.com with no luck.

From what I remember they are the same. Call Advance and ask them in person. As for the "facing the same way" That is not true the fronts also face oppostie directions. I just replaced a front one a few days ago on my car.

That's what I meant. I need the front one, and in my car they face opposite, but at advance/partsamerica the only link it even lists has them facing the same way and the description says "rear". Not cool, I need this thing soon so I can put my axles back in and finish this engine swap.PATDIESEL wrote: As for the "facing the same way" That is not true the fronts also face oppostie directions.

Hiya,
New member here. I am not completely sure what it is that y'all are talking about, but I am thinking it is the stabilizer control link (R-024 in the manual), correct? I would like to replace all 4 of them for my 1991 MX3 1.6 manual German model.
If these are the parts the MX6 guy mentioned is making, I would love to order a few stabilizers too!
Please let me know if I am on or off-topic!![Idea ](./images/smilies/icon_idea.gif)

Damn you guys need to read probetalk more often.
There was a how-to on there like 2 years ago about how to make your own adjustable endlinks using heim joints. I can't find the link anymore b/c their search took a crap last month.
But I did just find this bulk buy from probesport:
http://forums.probetalk.com/showthread. ... =end+links
![Image](http://www.prdonline.com/catalog/images/moogend436.jpg)
45 bux for brand new MOOG endlinks.
I emailed the guy asking what legnth these endlinks are b/c they might fit our car too. Our car uses 3" long endlinks both front & rear so if these are 2.5-3.5" long tehy should fit fine.

got a reply back...they are 3.5" bolt-to-bolt
they should fit our cars since you can move the swaybar a bit if its a lil long. .5" isn't going to be a big deal anyways

You have already seen them. I have the very first set he made for our car.
I have pics on the floor beside a stocker, and installed if anyone wants them.

I just emailed 'sales at globeexautoparts.com' and a guy called Steven Pumfrey who is in the sales dept in Australia for FMO (I will be traveling there this October, hope I can pick the parts up there). Hopefully they can help.
Spinkx79, where can I have a look at the pics you are talking about?
Gro Harlem, thanks for your post. But I am not sure this part will fit, and indeed, you are showing only the rear stabilizer. I was told by a mechanic that Mazda has a patent on these parts, and that therefore nobody is allowed to imitate them. Also the mechanic told me that they do have to match exactly. And, looking at the pic you posted, this bar looks a lot thicker than what I see when looking under my car.
Mazda78, any news yet?
As soon as I get a reply from either company, I will post it.
