BPT stock blow off valve

Post by Cpl_Bryant »

I am using the stock BOV with my BPT at the moment, and I don't think I have it connected right. The picture below is a crude illustration of how it is connected now. There is one tube that has nothing going to it, but I am out of hoses as far as I can tell. This can't be right...

that tube will connect back into the intake before the turbo and after the MAF. if it goes before the MAF (or VAF), then the MAF cant read the lost air, and will result in the system thinking there is a vacume leak. thus the reason it needs to go after the maf ( the motor side of the MAF). Most stock BOV's are quiet but mine is rather loud.

I think that's where I have the other tube that is the same size is going. If that's true then where does that one go instead? I guess a simpler question would be, where does each one of the 3 tubes go?

you have 3 ends to connect. one is the inlet (should be a 2" hole), the other 2" hole is your exit pipe, it doesent matter what end is what. the smaller one about 1" is the exaust air from the BOV, which needs to hook up to the intake piping just after the MAF sensor and before the turbo somewhere. if there isnt a place to hook it up you will need to port it in there some how. then you should have your vacume, and that hooks rite up to the manafold.

Hmm, I seem to be missing a hose or something. I am not getting it. Starting a new thread...
