I'm thinking of doing a BPT or B6T swap, and now my question was after reading all your posts about those swaps, if I can keep my stock tranny??
I'm planning to go to 180/200 hp. That is enough for me. So will with this power my stock tranny hold up???

What year is your car? I had the stock tranny in my MX for only about 2500 miles and i blew the tranny at about 175-200whp. I would plan to upgrade in the near future.

I have a 1994 Dohc, that's thus the F25M-R tranny.

Well the MX3 tranny will work, as to how long it will hold up under high power levels it is anyone's guess. A lot of factors influence this like driving style, how often you launch car, mileage etc.

It is best to look at getting the Pro LX tranny in the longterm even if you use this tranny initially.

same thing happened to me at the same place. thats kinda funny.

it happened in Portland, and i drove 3 hours home. the diff was complety shattered inside the bell housing and out. no fluid in the trans at all. about two hours into the trip home the clutch started slipping. but i owe it all to synthedic that i made it home. the trans should have locked up. but it didnt. i will only use redline gear oil for on now.
