Hey, Installed a MSD BTM and I lost my tach reading on my dash. I still have it on my SAFC II but not on my dash anymore. Anyone ever install one??

MSD BTM On a Turbo'd BP w/ Stock MX-3 Coil.

Thanks.

There is an adapter that you have to install, do a search there is plenty of info on it...

I guess I should have searched the whole forum instead of just the forced induction section. Thanks Pat. I guess I am off to cal MSD and get a tach adapter.

You shouldn't need a tach adapter.

yah with several Fords and Mazda's they have this problem. the easiest way to fix it is with an aftermarket tach. they have several brands on there website somewhere that are compatable.

yes you need the adapter, there is another way to do it. I think it involved some sort of resistor or something, but do a search and see what comes up, or do the simple thing and get an adapter. Autometer should be able to help, so maybe call them.
Justin, this has been discussed several times, and I'm pretty sure you do have to have an adapater.

I didn't use an adapter for mine.......

My signal is coming straight from the + side of the coil.
