Hey Guys,

This isn’t another “What’s your favorite driving song” topic; I wanted to get a good topic going about some new music from 2004 / 2005 that’s good. I’m not someone who’s up to date on music all the time so I figured this could make for a good discussion and suggestion thread. I don’t care if its rock / alternative / rap / hip-hop etc. I’m just looking for some of the newest songs that every one likes! (Do not need to specifically be driving songs)

To start things off I’ll list a few songs that are new to my knowledge to start things off.

Bodyrockers – I like the way you move
Coldplay – Speed of Sound
Foo Fighters – Best of You
Black Eyed Peas – Pump it

Add to the list guys!

Go listen to this band called Dropping Daylight. I saw them a few weeks ago and they sounded pretty good. I don't know what you'd classify them as but they're new.

Lotta great music has come out the past two years. I don't stay as current as I'd like but Green Day American Idiot CD (great title) is one of those "instant" classic releases imho. I know some ppl knock Green Day for their mainstream appeal but whether you like em or not, must admit that these guys can put a tune together, they have a great time and they don't seem to give a damn what others think. That's rock n roll essence at its best from the late 50's to present and that's the ticket.
